This Big Day Of Giving, Plan To Give The Gift Of Life

On this Big Day of Giving, you can give the gift of life by registering to be an organ donor. Thursday, May 1st from midnight to midnight, the Sacramento Region Community Foundation will host its annual Big Day of Giving. Generous people throughout our region will have a full 24 hours to support their favorite non-profit organizations with financial gifts, but this year you can support Sierra Donor Services (SDS), without spending a single cent.
Did you know that every day, SDS saves and improves lives via organ, tissue and eye transplants, working with 44 area hospitals throughout 13 counties? Our work is only possible due to the selfless donor heroes who give a part of themselves after their death to someone in need. Over 100,000 people across the country are awaiting a life-saving organ transplant, and over 20,000 of those people are in California.
On this Big Day of Giving, you could give the biggest gift of all: the gift of life. With your support, we will continue growing our impact in this community!
