Celebrating Our Partners for Filipino Community Health

December 13, 2023

The Philippine Nurses Association of America California Capital City (PNAC3) Chapter aims to elevate the image, professionalism, unity and welfare of Filipino American nurses in the Greater Sacramento Area. PNAC3 collaborates with other professional organizations and agencies in the neighboring area to develop and implement programs related to nursing practices, education and research. PNAC3 actively participates in nursing and health care activities in the community.

Furthermore, the PNAC3 is committed to charitable causes benefiting the marginalized communities in the Philippines and the growth of our local nursing professionals. The PNAC3’s Inaugural Fundraising Gala, held on December 2nd, 2023, raised approximately $4,600 from ticket sales, donations and a silent auction. The proceeds will fund international medical missions and scholarships for local chapter members. The medical camp is scheduled on February 8-12, 2024 which will benefit the underserved children and families in Zambales and Ilocos Norte, Philippines.

Additionally, scholarships will be awarded to select PNAC3 licensed nurses and student nurses to aid in their career development. The support of the Filipino and non-Filipino nursing community was instrumental to the success of the first fundraising gala. Community partners, including the UC Davis Betty Irene Moore School of Nursing and Frontline Home Health Care generously supported the event as Diamond Sponsors. Grand Canyon University also donated as a Friend of PNAC3 sponsor.

Guests, members, sponsors and community partners are encouraged to continue to support PNAC3’s future events and fundraising efforts by visiting their website.

Sierra Donor Services and PNAC3 Volunteers

We are so appreciative of our continued support from the PNAC3 and their mission to promote activities that will unify Filipino American nurses in the Greater Sacramento area. They recognize the importance of organ donation not just in every community but especially within the Filipino American community.
