Join us for The Heart & Down Syndrome Webinar on July 26 at 12pm PST (streaming live on our Facebook page). This webinar will shed some light on the prevalence of heart conditions in people with Down syndrome and how heart valve transplants save lives. Here are the people who will be presenting:
- Diana Ferreira and Steven Kellett – An organ recovery technician whose brother has Down syndrome and was a heart valve recipient.
- GaNeane Lewis – A tissue recovery technician who has performed the heart valve recoveries.
- Gigi’s Playhouse – A representative from a nonprofit that serves children and adults with Down syndrome.
- Gary Raff, MD – A pediatric cardiologist from UCD who can talk about the prevalence of prevalence of heart conditions in people with Down syndrome.
