The measure of impact a person makes in life can be determined by how many times people think of him when he is no longer with us. We can’t share things with dad like we used to. Those times are gone and we miss him terribly. But we remember the times we could, and are grateful for our memories. His impact lives beyond memories. Dad cared deeply about his family and reached out to others too. He is missed not because of a few large actions, but because of a great number of smaller ones that made big differences.
