Joe was “Bubba” at the fire house, “Dad”, “Grandpa Hat” to 3 granddaughters and “Coach” to 14 years of little league teams. He had a zest for life and extremely sensitive heart.
“But honey, this is the chance of a life time,” was his way of taking his golf clubs to some place new. Joe would say “Ohhhh my,” when one of his little league players would swing at a bad pitch. To Joe it was about kids and having a good time, and was the same man that would pout if he lost at golf!
Joe lived a short life but it was full of years of hugs, love, laughter and fun. His donation is family’s last gift to honor someone who will be in their hearts forever as Joe witnessed many family tragedies as a 30 year fireman.
